Dr Billy Jowett - Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon My Injury - Broken right 5th Metatarsal Dr Jowett is the consummate professional. Caring, thorough, direct and skillful. Dr J is up to date with all the latest research papers which gives the patient a real sense of security, knowing all avenues are open to you. Each consultation appointment was Taylor made to assure healing went in the right direction. There were no generic instructions but consistently using the latest practices and ideas backed by success rates to ensure the injury has the best outcome. Examinations and scans were done precisely and efficiently. No aspect of the injury was ignored and full investigations prioritised. Unlike other consultants I saw, he was streets ahead of the curve when it came to the Metatarsal break and how to repair the break without surgery. Pros and Cons were put in front of me (to operate or not), and working as a team the right decision being made. Tanya his private secretary was superb in all follow up appointments, x-ray bookings and due diligence towards my injury. I highly recommend Dr Jowett and his team. Being a very sporty individual Dr J worked with me to get me back to my fighting best carefully, sensibly but pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable for healing to occur naturally. Mr Jowett was very supportive throughout my treatment process. He explained why I was experiencing pain clearly, explored different treatment options and outlined the benefits of each procedure. In terms of the operation, Mr Jowett was extremely thorough and in our follow up appointment showed me before and after photos. I am a few weeks post op and my pain levels are greatly reduced. The procedure has enhanced my quality of life and I’m back doing more activities than I could manage before. It is evident that Mr Jowett has extremely high expectations of himself in terms of the results he gets for his patients. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to him in the future as I trust his judgment and quality of care.

From my first consultation through until my final appointment Mr Jowett was exceptionally helpful and informative. He helped me reach a conclusion of what treatment option would be right to fit my specific situation and lifestyle. He made the process very easy and stress free, explaining all small details and helping to to gain an understanding of exactly what would be done, the possible and desired outcomes. This led to me having full trust in him and the procedure went very smoothly. The check ups since the operation have been very helpful in assessing my progress and hearing Mr Jowett’s advice on how to structure my return to normal activities has helped me to do so as quickly as possible making sure the results are very positive. I met Mr Jowett a few months ago because I have problems with both feet. He was extremely helpful and I had a thorough examination. He explained my options. Although I have not yet had any treatment - I would definitely recommend him. He listened to me and understood my concerns. I would totally trust him as a surgeon. He also has a very helpful secretary who also understands patients and their concerns. I would not hesitate to ask Mr Jowett to sort feet problems. He is excellent and highly skilled.
